Akufo-Addo caught ordering chiefs to rise for handshakes?

A video quickly making the rounds on social media of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo at an event believed to be a funeral has caught the attention of many.

In the 12-second video, the president is shown making his way to greet traditional leaders at the event.

In the video, when the president reached one particular chief, who was also seated, he gesticulated at him and then, as if to communicate something to him, pointed at himself and then again hand-gestured to the traditional leader to rise to his feet.

It is unclear where the president was and what event it was, but several popular pages have shared the video, especially on X.

Although not entirely related, last year there was a viral video of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo at an event together with Henry Quartey, the current Minister of the Interior.

In the video, the president is seen pointing in a certain direction and ordering the Minister to attend to something.

The reaction from that video was also met with a lot of mixed feelings.
