You didn’t make money from drugs – Captain Smart defends Agyapong

Radio and Television personality Captain Godsbrain Blessed Smart has indicated that he will continue to defend Kennedy Agyapong on any platform when issues of how he made money comes up.

There were reports suggesting that the Assin Central Member of Parliament(MP) made money through some dubious means; an allegation he has on several occasions denied.

Captain Smart speaking on Accra-based Onua FM indicated that although he has problems with the ways of the lawmaker, he will continue to defend him because he knows he did not make money out of drugs.

“When people rose against you that you sold cocaine I told them it is not correct. I know how you were once beaten in Texas. When you were in the US you were not selling cocaine,” he said.

Captain Smart disclosed that Kennedy Agyapong made his money after he was given a contract to supply air conditioners to all MMDCEs offices across the country; a contract which was renewed on several occasions.

“It is J.A. Kufour who gave you GHC 80 million contract to supply air conditioners to ministries and agencies across the country. If all Ghanaians had the benefit of such contracts everyone would be rich. And you have the effrontery to insult J. A Kufour, the hand that fed you. I’m not scared of you so don’t try to intimidate me,” he said.
