Half Assini: Immigration officer dies in a ghastly accident after being run over by cargo truck

A recruit with the Ghana Immigration Service Hannah Nwole has died in a ghastly accident at Jeway Wharf near Half Assini in the Jomoro Municipality of the Western Region.

MyNewsGh.com confirmed that Hannah Nwole stationed at Jeway Wharf was reporting for duty at Anomatoape Checkpoint on a commercial motorbike from Jeway Wharf where she stays before being knocked down by a speeding cargo truck.

The accident occurred at 5:30pm on Monday, 3rd May, 2021. According to the Officer in Charge of Half Assini, the accident occurred at the Jewy Wharf junction from Half Assini.

“The motor was knocked down by a Cargo truck resulting in the body of the officer being dismembered”, he revealed.

The body has since been conveyed to the Half Assini hospital morgue pending autopsy.
