Video of Charles Bissue taking a beating from George Duker emerges

A video showing snippets of the widespread media reportage of the altercation between New Patriotic Party (NPP) Regional Secretary for Western Region, Charles Bissue and MP for Tarkwa-Nsuem, George Duker is making rounds on social media.

The video, cited by GhanaWeb details the Member of Parliament for Tarkwa-Nsuem throwing jabs at Charles Bissue. While a few of the shots landed, the NPP Regional Secretary could be seen making several efforts to evade his attacker including running around the car park and hiding behind parked Toyota Land Cruiser.

The legislator could be seen pursuing Charles Bissue in the full glare of bystanders to beat him.

It appears earlier photos showing the bloodied NPP Regional Secretary for Western Region may have been caused by the punches he caught from George Duker.

Earlier reports suggested that NPP Regional executives were meeting with all the party’s Parliamentary Candidates in the Region at Kingston Hotel in Takoradi when the incident happened.

It is gathered that there was a misunderstanding between the MP and the Regional party executive, but the latter in the raging confusion grabbed the MP’s hand and gave him multiple bites which left him bleeding profusely.

Sources indicated that the MP, George Mireku Duker and Charles have not been in good terms because the latter is supporting an independent candidate against the incumbent.

GhanaWeb cannot independently confirm if the bites Charles Bissue gave the MP for Tarkwa-Nsuem was as a result of the punches he received or otherwise.
