Coach Barnabas Awuni leads WAFA to snatch vital point from Future Stars

The budding Ghanaian trainer was in the dugout for the West African Football Academy (WAFA) for the first time since joining the club this season.

Coach Barnabas Awuni was appointed new gaffer by the former Ghana Premier League side last week and in no time, hit the road running with all but important one point away in his first league game of the Access Bank Division One League.

He led his charges to pick a point away to Future Stars at the Ejisu Okese park on Sunday after, following a goalless draw game in full time.

The encounter was the first leagu game of the 2022-23 Division One League.

WAFA still having experience players in their fold, exhibited high level of commitment and discipline against the homers, Future Stars who were hoping to annex their first win of the season over the visitors.

They will next face newly promoted side Asekem FC at home, Gomoa Fetah Park in their Division One League match day two encounter.
