FIFA president Infantino mourns with families of Indonesia football disaster; insists tragedy is beyond comprehension

FIFA President, Gianni Infantino has extended his consolation and that of the association to the families of the victims of the stadium disaster in Indonesia.

In a statement, the president of the world football governing body has stressed that the tragedy is beyond comprehension.

“This is a dark day for all involved in football and a tragedy beyond comprehension.

The FIFA president added, “Together with Fifa and the global football community, all our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, those who have been injured, together with the people of the Republic of Indonesia, the Asian Football Confederation, the Indonesian Football Association, and the Indonesian Football League, at this difficult time.”

The entire world has mourned the incident in the last 24 hours.
