De Bruyne is PSG's 'kryptonite'

Kevin de Bruyne was one of the Manchester City players who stood out at the Parc des Princes in their 2-1 victory over Paris Saint-Germain.

The Belgium international equalised in the 64th minute to become the first Sky Blues player to ever score in the Champions League semi-finals.

But this was not the only goal he has ever scored against PSG, as De Bruyne netted in both legs of the Champions League quarter-final tie with the French side back in 2015/16 to lead Manchester City to the semi-finals, where they would get knocked out by Real Madrid.

Curiously, the only player to have scored in more consecutive games against PSG is Neymar, who netted in four consecutive duels in the past against his current team.

De Bruyne has scored in three successive games with PSG, with Lionel Messi and Marcus Rashford being the other two players to have done so.

PSG could be considered as De Bruyne's favourite victim, as the Belgian has scored three of his 10 Champions League goals against the Ligue 1 team.

The other seven times he hit the back of the net were against Borussia Monchengladbach, Real Madrid, Shakhtar Donetsk, Barcelona, Sevilla, Borussia Dortmund and Lyon.

A player for the big games

Meanwhile, seven of De Bruyne's 10 goals in the Champions League were scored in the knockout stages.

He has scored three against PSG, one last season at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu against Real Madrid and another in last year's quarter-final against Lyon.

This season, De Bruyne netted in the 2-0 victory against Borussia Monchengladbach in the Round of 16 and scored another goal in Manchester City's 2-1 win against Dortmund in the quarter-final.

Fifth most prolific Belgian

The only Belgians who have scored more goals than De Bruyne's 10 in the Champions League are Dries Mertens (20), Paul Van Himst (16), Romelu Lukaku (13) and Luc Nilis (11).
