'I don't owe Derek Boateng a penny'- ex-Fulham star John Paintsil tells former teammate

Ex-Fulham defender John Paintsil has denied owing former Black Stars teammate Derek Boateng.

Boateng is in court to retrieve US$ 20,000 he claims Paintsil borrowed from him when they were in camp during the 2010 FIFA World Cup finals in South Africa.

He also wants the defendant (Paintsil) to pay his legal fees and costs.

But Paintsil insists he does not owe the ex-international midfielder a penny.

''I have received a summons from court over the said issue and I have discussed the matter with my lawyer to take the necessary legal actions,'' he told Kasapa FM Sports

''All I can say is that I don't owe Derek.

''I don't owe him a penny, but since the matter is now in court I will less talk about and leave it to the judiciary to decide whether I owe him or not.''
