Abdul Aziz Yakubu scores from the spot to help Estoril go top in Portugal second-tier

Striker Abdul Aziz Yakubu scored his fourth league goal of the season on Sunday to help  Estoril secure a 2-0 win at Varzim in the Portuguese second-tier.

The 21-year-old converted a spot-kick in the 36th to double their lead at the  Estádio Varzim Sport Club.

Hugo Gomes opened the scoring in the 25th minute.

Yakubu was making his sixth appearance in the league.

Estoril are on top of the table; one point more than second-place Mafra who have played one match less.
