Falcao is born in 1953

In 1953, Paulo Roberto Falcao was born in Xanxere (Brazil). Three-times Brazilian Champion with Internacional Porto Alegre, he joined AS Roma in the summer of 1980 and he was one of the first foreigners to return to Italy after the reopening of the borders. He goes on to win the 1982/83 Championship with the team, as well as 2 Coppa Italia trophees. In Serie A he made 107 appearances and 22 goals.

1963: Milan defeated the Santos of Pele

On 16th October 1963 Milan won the first leg of the Intercontinental Cup, the first ever played by an Italian club. At San Siro the Rossoneri won 4-2 against Santos, with goals from Trapattoni (3'), Amarildo (14' and 66') and Mora (81'); for the Brazilians Pele scored a brace, at 57 'and 85' on a penalty.
