Kwadwo Asamoah made his Serie A debut for Inter Milan on Sunday in the first match of the season but was on the losing side in their 1-0 reverse at Sassuolo.
The Ghana international lasted the entire duration as the Nerrazuri could not recover from Domenico Berardi's 27th minute penalty.
Asamoah was deployed in a four-man midfield alongside Matteo Politano, Matias Vecino and Marcelo Brozovic.
He made the switch to the San Siro this summer on a free transfer after ending his contract with Juventus.
Sassuolo had Ghanaian duo Alfred Duncan and Kevin-Prince Boateng in the starting line-up but Claud Adjepong was an unused substitute.
