Immigration Ladies pip Sea Lions to lift maiden Ama Pele tournament trophy

Immigration Ladies won the inaugural Ama Pele Mini Tournament after a 2-1 win over Sea Lions on Sunday.

Gifty Appiah gave the champions the lead in the 19th minute after finishing off a pass from Faustina Kyeremeh.

Sea Lions, based in Elmina, snatched the leveller on 64 minutes, but that celebration was transient as Immigration took the lead again one minute later.

Striker Kyeremeh grabbed the match winner.

The tournament which featured six teams was put together by Black Queens captain Elizabeth Addo, who plays for Chinese club Jiangsu Suning FC.

Police Ladies, Ridge City FC, Ideal Ladies and Rock Ladies were the other clubs who partook in the mini-tournament.
