The France international, who has been linked with several other top clubs sides including Manchester United, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain, has been keen to join Tottenham since speaking to manager Mauricio Pochettino and being won over by his project.

Pochettino was impressed by Ndombele's performances last season in which he helped Lyon finish third in Ligue 1.

A move to Champions League finalists Spurs will continue a notable rise for 22-year-old Ndombele, who was playing in Ligue 2 for Amiens two years ago.
