Jesus issues City stay vow

Gabriel Jesus has vowed to stay at Manchester City this summer while he also expects Sergio Aguero to stick with the Premier League champions.

The 22-year-old Brazilian scored 21 goals in all competitions last season as the Citizens completed a domestic treble with the Carabao Cup and FA Cup added to their league title defence.

However, there have been reports that Jesus could look to depart the Etihad Stadium in this transfer window in search of a club that will make him their first-choice forward.

I think it's out of the question that Aguero leaves and me too.

Speculation has also linked 31-year-old Argentina international, Aguero, with a move away after eight years at the club, despite his 32-goal haul last term.

But, when Jesus was quizzed about the reports after Brazil's 3-0 Copa America win over Bolivia this weekend, he said: "I think it's out of the question that Aguero leaves and me too. He is a legend at the club - he's the top scorer [of all time].

"Obviously as a player I always want to play, but I'm happy to help and I respect Sergio."

City are 25/1 to repeat this past season in 2019-20 and win the domestic treble, while they are priced at 100/1 to add the Champions League to that haul and secure an unprecedented quadruple.
