Management of Kotoko express gratitude to fans of the club after first round of Zylofon Cash Premier League

Management of Kumasi Asante Kotoko have released a statement thanking fans of the club fore their unflinching support for the club in the first round of the Zylofon Cash Premier League.

The club went through a roller coaster ride in the first round but ended it in style with victory over Aduana Stars, lifting them up to 6th position on the table.

Below is the statement from the management.

Management wishes to express its profound gratitude to the club’s teeming followers for their tremendous support throughout the first round of the 2017/18 Zylofon Cash Premier League.

We are overwhelmed by your warm presence that backed us in our home games, the Baba Yara Stadium..

We also applaud your efforts from far and near; rallying behind us across the length and breadth of the country, and spurring us on in our away games. We do not take for granted, the enviable homely atmospheres you created whenever we played outside Kumasi.

Moving forward and in anticipation of the second round of league football, we believe that general attendance would grow, especially at the Baba Yara Stadium as we prepare to solidify the gains made in the first half of the season, and more so as the FA Cup competition offers yet another opportunity for us to defend our title.

A special appreciation goes out to the National Circles Council (NCC), the Regional Circles Councils, local circles, Asante Kotoko Faithfuls, the Porcupine Warriors Supporters Group and the other identifiable groups and individuals who go out of their ways to support the club in kind and in cash. We look forward to greater collaboration with you all for greater success in the second round.

Also, Management will like to extend its gratitude to the media for their professionalism and cooperation thus far; offering us their platforms to promote our matches throughout the first round. Overall, we believe there are areas we gained though there remain enough room for improvement.

It is our fervent hope that the second round would come with the needed opportunity for better cooperation with all stakeholders. We also wish to build a more fruitful relationship between our Communications team (Obed Acheampong, Thomas Boakye Agyeman and Alin Sarpong) and the media.

We will like to entreat all to regularly visit the club's official website, asantekotokosc.com, and our various social media platforms for authentic news and information from the club. This way, we shield all from the incidences of fake news.

Finally, we urge our supporters to exercise enough faith and patience for the management, technical team and the playing body both in good and bad times.

Thank you

Signed

Obed Acheampong

(Head of Communications)
