Gary Neville names six Manchester United players that have been underperforming

Intro

Former Manchester United defender, Gary Neville, has named six players at the club, who are “stars” but are performing “well below their standard.”

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer watched his team get thrashed 4-0 by Everton on Sunday.

United went into the game desperate for all three points to secure a top-four finish and a place in the Champions League next season.

But they failed to muster a single shot on goal, prompting Neville to slam the attitude of some individuals after the game.

He also named six players he wants to see more from.

Neville said on Sky Sports: “There are five forwards at that club: Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez and Paul Pogba – who is nearer to the front.

“Star players, those five, they can be the best in their position, but all of them in this moment in time are well below their standard.

“Alexis Sanchez… I don’t know what’s happened to him. Marcus Rashford, this couple of weeks, has been nowhere near [his best].

“I went to both Barcelona games. Marcus looks off it at the moment. Whether he’s carrying an injury. something is not right, or the season has caught up with him.
