Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has taken over the annually rotational seat as the Economic Community of West African States ECOWAS Chairman from the Togolese President Faure Gnassingbe.
The announcement was made yesterday, 31st of July at the end of the 53rd Ordinary Summit of ECOWAS Heads of State which ended on Monday evening.
Buhari’s Personal Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, disclosed this in a message posted on Twitter. Congratulations are certainly in order.
