Tourism Authority launches 2018 Eastern Regional Tourism Awards

The Ghana Tourism Authority in the Eastern Regional has launched the 2018 edition of the Eastern Regional Tourism Awards.

The awards ceremony seeks to recognise and improve the work of stakeholders in the hospitality industry and also reward journalists and media houses who promote tourism in the region.

This year’s big event scheduled to come off on February 23rd, 2019 in Koforidua under the theme, ” Celebrating Our Heritage”.

The Eastern Regional Manager of the Ghana Tourism Authority, Frederick Adjei-Rudolph, called on managers of the industry and other corporate institutions to take advantage and invest in tourism.

“As you constantly support us each time we call on you, it behooves on us (GTA), the public sector agency responsible for regulation and marketing of all tourism activities and businesses to work assiduously and ensure that the conducive economic atmosphere is created for your businesses to thrive and flourish. It is only when you make enough profit that fulfilling your corporate social responsibilities becomes easy.”

Mr Frederick Adjei-Rudolph added, “I am therefore making a passionate appeal to all industry players and other corporate organizations within and outside the Eastern Region to take advantage of this prestigious awards ceremony which has come to stay with us forever to come on board, showcase what they have to the world, invest in promoting tourism to improve their corporate brand”.

Citi FM picked up the award for the best Tourism Oriented Media House of the year during last year’s awards ceremony.
