Withdraw police case – ECG Senior Staff Association to Ashanti Regional Minister

The Senior Staff Association of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has made a public appeal for the withdrawal of a legal case involving the Ashanti regional minister, Simon Osei-Mensah, and the ECG Ashanti East Manager, Ing.

Mark Wiafe Asomani, from the police station.

This request was articulated by Bismark Adomah, the National Vice Chairman of the association, following a contentious situation between the regional minister and the ECG.

This comes after the regional minister was accused by the ECG in the Ashanti region of his role in the arrest of their General Manager, Ing.

Wiafe Asomani, following a power outage at the Kumasi Technical University.

Meanwhile, The Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei-Mensah, has also rejected calls from the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) Workers’ Union to apologise for the arrest of one of their Manager.

He defended his actions, stating that he had requested the Police to arrest the Ashanti East Manager of the ECG, Mark Wiafe Asomani, for security reasons.
