2024 Election: SALL saga, Ayawaso West Wuogon violence must not be repeated – Sam Jonah

The Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Sir Sam Jonah, has expressed concern over past instances of violence and legal disputes that resulted in the disenfranchisement of some Ghanaians during previous election years.

He emphasized that such occurrences must not be allowed to recur in the upcoming December polls.

Speaking at the launch of the 75th-anniversary celebrations of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) in Accra on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, Sam Jonah admonished journalists to “endeavour to be the bridge over troubled waters, ensuring that every Ghanaian, irrespective of political allegiance, finds solace and strength in the truth” as the time for the general elections approach.
