Institutional suppliers suspend protest following assurances from Adutwum

The suspension comes after a meeting with the Minister for Education, Dr Yaw Adutwum.

However, following discussions with the Minister for Education, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, the Association announced their decision to halt the demonstration.

Emmanuel Ayivor, the Public Relations Officer for the Association, stated that after the interaction with the Ministry, assurances were given that all outstanding arrears would be settled by Monday, April 15, 2024.

Ayivor explained,” We had a meeting with authorities at the Ministry of Education a few minutes ago and we have come to a conclusion

And that from today, as a matter of urgency, they have started paying.

Aside from that we are to meet with the head of finance coming Monday to look at the outstanding balance they need to pay us.”

The National Association of Institutional Suppliers emphasized that their decision to suspend the protest was based on the assurances received from the Ministry of Education.
