Central Regional Minister expresses displeasure over police’s absence at RCC meeting

Central Regional Minister Justina Marigold Assan has expressed displeasure over the failure of the police administration in the Central Region to attend the region’s Coordinating Council meeting.

.

The Regional Minister described the absence of the two Regional Police Commands (Central Region and Central North Region) without permission as “disrespectful to the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC).”

.

“I don’t know if it is their style, but they don’t see why they should even give me periodic security briefings,” she said.

.

“Occasionally, they will drop one in my WhatsApp.

The Minister said the council would query the Regional Police Command officially to explain their absence at the meeting, where a lot of security issues were raised for redress.

.

“Official letters are coming; they are going to be strong-worded ones to them, and if they don’t respond, they will hear from us properly.

“Because I feel that if you don’t respect me as a person, the seat that I occupy is so important and very big, and I will not take anything short of respect and dignity to that office.
