#CitiBizOlympics: Total Ghana’s Eric Fanchini wins CEOs Challenge for 2nd straight year

The Managing Director of Total Ghana, Eric Fanchini, on Saturday emerged the winner of the CEOs Challenge at the 2019 Citi Business Olympics for the second year running

His feat today makes him the only one to have won the competition since its introduction last year.

He beat competition from some other 18 Chief Executive Officers who took part in the challenge.

For this year’s CEOs challenge, the competitors participated in an archery competition and were to hit the target as many times as possible in each round.

The competition started with a first round eliminator for the 19 CEOs.

5 of the company heads then qualified to the next stage of the competition, with the Total Ghana CEO emerging victorious.

Chief Executive Officer of Bethel Logistics, came in second in the challenge.

Eric Fanchini has been serving as the Chief Executive Officer  for Total since 2017.

Citi Business Olympics is  the biggest corporate sporting event in Ghana.

The 2019 edition came off on Saturday, September 22 at the Burma Camp Sports Complex in Accra.

Over 30 companies participated in the event with GCB bank sweeping most of the awards bagging six trophies from 14 sporting disciplines.

Some of the sporting disciplines included basketball, volleyball, tennis, lime and spoon race, sack race,  swimming as well as some indoor games including scrabble.

GCB Bank left the 2019 Citi Business Olympics with the corporate bragging rights after bagging most trophies at the event for the second year running.
