David Osei praises gov't for cedi’s appreciation against the dollar

Following the appreciation of the Ghana cedi against the US dollar, actor Prince David Osei has shelved his plans to host a demonstration against the government.

In a post on Twitter, Prince David who is known to support the NPP and President Akufo-Addo noted that the cedi is performing “remarkably” well.

“Hallelujah the Cedi is appreciating remarkably

No more demonstrations ?? remember I gave an ultimatum for December!!” Prince David Osei wrote.

However, in his post on Wednesday, Prince David Osei said the economy, gradually, has seen an improvement as compared to the previous months.

Meanwhile, in official reports, the Ghana cedi has in less than five hours, December 14, 2022, gained 5.6% value against the US dollar, resulting in a cumulative gain of approximately 33.6% in the month of December alone.

This puts the cedi as the strongest performing currency against the American ‘greenback’ in December 2022.
