Member of Parliament (MP) for Yendi Constituency, Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama has hit back at Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP) Kennedy Agyapong over claims he gave him Ghc100,000 for Northern Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party(NPP), Mohammed A.

Kennedy Agyapong with party people in Bolgatanga as part of his campaign tour ahead of the NPP flagbearership race, claimed he gifted the NPP chairman Ghc100, 000 during the regional contest but Ghc40, 000 was acknowledged.

His comments sought to suggest that the Yendi lawmaker may have diverted part of the money and gave less than half to Samba but Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama who would not take such accusations lightly is fighting to maintain his credibility.

“The issue is that Kennedy Agyapong never gave me Hundred Thousand Ghana Cedis to give to Samba

He asked me how much he should give to Samba and I told him whatever he felt he could afford was appropriate

I won’t accept that lie that he gave me such an amount to give to Samba

Baantima Samba who is the Northern Regional Chairman and his colleague in the North East Region, Nurudeen Fuseini of sabotaging his tour of the north by asking delegates not to meet him.
