Akufo-Addo finally puts debate on reshuffling of Ministers to rest - www.asempanews.com

President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo has shot down calls by political opponents and the public to reshuffle his ministers.

According to the president of the Republic, the decision to shake-up the current composition of his minister is off the table since he believes they are performing creditably well.

Speaking to Tamale-based North Star FM, President Akufo-Addo, posited that on one hand, some of the calls were born out of ulterior motives and on another score, some people are merely eyeing some slots in government.

In furtherance of his assertion in the interview with the Tamale based radio station, the president accused the opposition NDC of fueling the calls for reshuffle in an attempt to destabilize his administration.

“The calls come for all kinds of reasons; NDC wanting to destabilise the government is one

“If the output meets expectations, then I don’t have any strong reasons to heed the call,” President Akufo-Addo added.

President Akufo-Addo stressed that he would only undertake such an exercise when the need calls for it but as it stands now, he does not intend to carry out a reshuffle.
