EXCLUSIVE: Azumah Nelson Arrested For Beating His Houseboy - www.asempanews.com

Former Boxing World Champion, Azumah Nelson, is under police investigations for mercilessly beating a family house help, according to credible sources.

Sources at the Tesano Police Station in Accra disclosed that Azumah Nelson, who is affectionately referred to as “The Professor Zoom, Zoom Nelson”, without any provocation pounced on the houseboy and gave him the beating of his life.

Further checks revealed that Azumah Nelson during interrogation by the police admitted to the offence, but pleaded to resolve the matter at home.

Peggy Nelson, the second wife of former professional boxer and world champion Azumah Nelson have reportedly gone their separate ways after more than 20 years together.

In a court petition filed last year, Madam Peggy asked for a divorce on the grounds that her marriage to Azumah Nelson was “irretrievably broken with no hope for reconciliation” and that the former boxer had committed adultery.

After the case was heard, the report said the court granted Madam Peggy divorce and ordered Azumah Nelson to hand over a house at Bukom in Accra, 42 acres of land at Dodowa and an amount of GH300,000 respectively.

Despite the fact that he is yet to fully settle Madam Peggy, the former boxer, per the report, has re-marry a 24-year-old woman and both his ex-wife an the newly wedded wife are living in the same house, heightening tensions in the house.
