The Story Of The Prince Who Has Been Sleeping In A Coma For Over 15 Years

Prince Al Waleed bin Khaled bin Talal also known as the ‘sleeping prince’ has been in a coma for more than 15 years.

The Sleeping Prince, fell into a coma after a car accident in 2005.

Saudi princess  Bint Talal, on Tuesday shared a video of her nephew and wrote, “My beloved, may God protect you, heal you, and restore you.”

In a video clip uploaded by princess Rima shows Prince Al Waleed plugged into a life-support machine, covered with a Saudi green flag with the words “Our Country is in Our Hearts”.

Coma is a state of consciousness that is similar to deep sleep, except no amount of external stimuli (lsuch as sounds or sensations can prompt the brain to become awake and alert. A coma is a medical emergency.

The wide range of causes includes head injury, stroke, cardiac arrest, hypoglycaemia, hyperglycaemia, hypothermia, drug overdose, and kidney or liver failure.

A person in a persistent vegetative state has damage to the areas of the brain responsible for consciousness, self-awareness and personality.

prince Al Waleed bin Khaled bin Talal who's 31 years now weds studying in London and was a successful business young man with ambitions before his car accident occurred that has kept him in the coma for almost 16 years.
