COVID-19: Obuor demands dad’s autopsy report as 40 contacts traced to the late chief

The Ashanti Regional Heath Directorate says it has traced 40 people who had contact with Nana Osei Boansi Kuffour, the late father of musician Obuor, who died at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital of COVID-19 a few days ago.

The father of the former President of the Musicians Union of Ghana developed symptoms of the disease after a trip from abroad.

The seventy-five-year-old sub-chief had contacts with some people in Juaso in the Ashanti Region before he was taken to Accra for medical treatment.

Dr Emmanuel Tenkorang, Ashanti Regional Health Director told journalists on Tuesday that they have traced “forty contacts at Juaso following the confirmation of a sub-chief having lost his life through COVID-19 and all are being monitored”.

Meanwhile, Obuor is demanding from the hospital, the autopsy report of his late father.

His lawyer, Bobby Banson, has written to the Greater Accra Regional Hospital demanding to know what killed his client’s father.

Meanwhile, the musician has also denied reports that he has tested positive for the virus.
