Ghanaians happy with my contribution - Andre Ayew

Black Stars skipper, Andre Ayew, says his countrymen have given a seal of approval to his more than a decade contribution to the national team.

Andre who made his debut for the Black Stars in 2008 when Ghana hosted the Africa Cup of Nations says since that game Ghanaians have grown to appreciate his contributions.

The Swansea ace who granted the BBC an interview said he was already getting close to playing 90 caps for the national team and his dreams was to hit a century of caps for the national team soon.

“The people of Ghana are very happy with what I’ve been doing for the past 12 years. I’m close to winning 90 caps so I’m trying to keep on going, keep on working hard. I’ll try and hit the 100 (caps) as soon as possible”, he said.

The who as on loan to Turkish side Fenerbahce has been capped 85 time for the Black Stars and has scored 15 goals and wants to play more than 100 games for the national team.

Andre whose professional career started with French club, Marseille has blossom over the years and in 2011 he was named the BBC African Footballer of the Year and Ghanaian Footballer of the Year.
