Help NLA eliminate illegal lottery - Osei Ameyaw pleads with Ghana Police

Kofi Osei Ameyaw, the Director General of National Lottery Authority (NLA), Kofi Osei-Ameyaw has made a plea to the Ghana Police Service to continue the alliance with the NLA to eliminate illegal lottery activities in the country.

According to him, the actions of these individuals are causing revenue loss to the state and urged the police to help him curb these activities.

“The National Lottery Authority as you are all aware has been working with the Police Service for so many years in terms of compliance. Especially those who are engaged in illegal lottery operation and thereby depriving the nation of needed revenue for national development. We take up some of these CSR like we are doing today”

“The cooperation and that relationship that existed between us must continue so that we can realize more revenue to support some of the projects that are required by you to be able to do your core work properly.”,he added.

The CID headquarters building – a six storey – has been without an elevator for three decades but under the leadership of Director General COP Mrs. Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo – Danquah, and financial support from the National Lottery Authority (NLA), an elevator was constructed
