Stop ridiculing your late uncle JB Danquah  – Pratt to Akufo-Addo

Kwesi Pratt Jr, Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper has advised Akufo-Addo and the incumbent NPP government to desist from ridiculing the late JB Danquah by their incessant attempt to weave history around him at all cost.

“Your late uncle JB Danquah is peacefully ‘sleeping’ and here we are stirring up issues about the late politician in a manner that is utterly humiliating,” Mr Pratt alluded during a discussion on Alhaji and Alhaji, a political show on Pan African TV on Saturday.

He argued that it is absolutely irrelevant to attempt  to erase Dr. Nkrumah by naming institutions after their historical figures from the Busia-Dombo–Danquah tradition.

“It is very embarrassing. Will naming infrastructure after individuals you deem must be remembered at all cost win you elections”,” the veteran CPP politician quizzed.

It’s against this back drop that Mr Pratt cautioned Akufo-Addo government against desecrating the image of the Late JB Danquah and others they are trying to project as icons in Ghana’s history merely because they are in power.
