Ghana, Mauritania friendly game cancelled

According to multiple reports, Ghana’s international friendly against Mauritania has been called off.

However, the team opted to play Rwanda in Kigali.

Ghana was scheduled to play their West African neighbours three days after the final Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Kenya at the Accra Sports stadium.

However, reports have emerged that plans for the clash changed with the expected fly to Kigali to face the Amavubi’s.

The clash will serve as a preparatory grounds for Kwesi Appiah as he seeks to name his squad for the 32nd edition of the AFCON that will be staged in Egypt.

The team will leave for Kigali on Monday after the game against Kenya on Sunday.
