I am not obliged to bring home a Grammy; I’ve paved the way for others to do so- Rocky Dawuni

Grammy-nominated Reggae musician, songwriter and producer, Rocky Dawuni says he is not obliged to bring home a Grammy.

Speaking in an interview with Ameyaw TV’s Zeinat at the just ended Exclusive Men of the Year (EMY) Awards, Rocky  said Ghana has creative talents and have so many opportunities to learn from legends who left a legacy.

“Ghana is a well known for creativity, Ghanaians have a crop of musicians and they are extremely creative and they have the opportunity to learn the business and also have been walking in the footsteps of giants who set good standards so I think we have such an incredible new crops of musicians and Ghana is going to make a lot of headway in the years to come,” he said.

Over the past years, the Ghana music industry has faced a series of challenges when it comes to promoting music on the international scene, while the Nigerian and other music industry has seen a wave of progress including winning the music industry’s highest honor, Grammy
