Health officer in court for allegedly defiling two teenagers at Nkwanta - Adomonline.com

A 40-year-old Public Health promoter at the Nkwanta South Municipal hospital in the Nkwanta South Municipality of the Oti region, Rick Azaglo is standing trial for allegedly defiling two girls aged 14 and 15

.

According to the police, the suspect had been allegedly injecting the victims with a drug which make them feel drowsy to carry out the act.

The victims attitude in school raised suspicion and after being interrogated by authorities, the Nkwanta South Social Welfare was alerted.

Police Prosecutor, Detective Inspector Bright Nkansah told Jasikan Circuit Court that the police retrieved some exhibits from the suspect which are yet to be forwarded to FDA for analytical examination and report.

He prayed the court to remand the suspect to enable the police conclude investigations.

The presiding judge at Jasikan Circuit Court, Justice Alfred Kwabena Asiedu urged Detective Inspector Bright Nkansah to speed up investigation.

The suspect was however, admitted to bail of GH¢10, 000.00 with one surety to re-appear on 13th April 2023.
