Inside Qatar's 'v*gina-shaped' stadium for Ghana v Uruguay clash

The 44,325-capacity Al Janoub Stadium is located in the southern city of Al Wakrah, 22km south of central Doha.

The stadium was designed by Iraqi-British architect, artist and designer Dame Zara Hadid.

The stadium has already hosted five games at the World Cup and will host the final Group H game between Ghana versus Uruguay, as well as one round of 16 fixture.

Al Janoub Stadium is served by a network of new expressways and roads which provide easy access to residents and visitors to both Al Wakrah and Doha.

The stadium will be served by Al Wakrah station on the Red Line of the Doha Metro

The station is located 4.5km from the stadium and will be served by shuttle bus services on match days.

A number of Qatari companies have been involved with the delivery of Al Janoub Stadium, including MIDMAC and PORR Qatar, Coastal, which has manufactured the stadium seats, and SOLB26, which has manufactured the steel required for the stadium
