Galamsey expose': I would h've apologised if guilty-Bissue

Presidential Staffer, Charles Cromwell Nanabanyin Onuawonto Bissue has disclosed that the series of events in the galamsey expose’ put together by
Anas Aremeyaw Anas and Tiger Eye PI must be used as a case study.

In the documentary, Mr Bissue, who recently stepped aside as the Secretary to the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining, was captured taking money to allegedly make way for an unlicensed company seeking to circumvent laid-down processes to be given clearance for its mining operations.

However, Mr Bissue, who stated he was innocent days after the expose’ ,decided to step aside as Secretary to the Committee, pending an investigation into the allegations.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen Show, Monday, Mr Bissue explained he would have apologised to Ghanaians and resigned immediately if the allegations leveled against him were true.

“The series of events in the documentary must be used as a case study for us to understand what constitutes bribe, entrapment and what we call vindictive journalism because I don’t understand why you will come and give something to someone and later capture it as giving bribe,” he stated.

To Mr Bissue, using the series of events in the documentary will help all Ghanaians to learn and really understand because he lives by three guiding principles and won’t compromise on them for anything.
