Dr. Bawumia supports 6-year-old with hearing impairment in Sekondi

The Vice President, Dr.

Mahamadu Bawumia has donated an amount of GHC20,000 towards healthcare for a six-year-old KG 2 pupil living with hearing loss in the Sekondi Constituency of the Western Region.

The young girl has been living with the condition for the past two years.

Her parents have since been struggling to raise money for the hearing aid.

Member of Parliament for Sekondi, Lawyer Andrew Egyapa Mercer who donated the money on behalf of the Vice President indicated that Dr.

Bawumia is known for his support for the underprivileged.

He says it is the hope of the Vice President that the amount given will be used for the intended purpose.

“We all know the Vice President is known for giving.

Being a listening Vice President, he sent me as the MP for the area to support the young girl with the amount to purchase the hearing aid machine”, Mr Mercer indicated.

Haruna Ousman, father of the young girl was grateful to the Vice President for the support.

“I pray God showers blessings upon him and make him victorious in the upcoming election.

The Vice President heard about it and came to support us.

We are very grateful to him”, he noted.

Alhaji Labib, Western Region Nasara Cordinator for the New Patriotic Party indicated that the Vice President had already donated an amount of $40,000 to support a Deputy Chief Imam in the Western Region who was suffering kidney failure to undergo treatment outside the country.
