The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) says recent power cuts don’t require a load-shedding timetable, despite public concerns.

They insist these aren’t planned outages like the past “Dumsor” situation.

Presidential advisor Osafo-Maafo clarified that only the Energy Minister has the authority to order the Electricity Company (ECG) to release a power cut schedule.

He explained this is because the Minister oversees power generation, while ECG manages electricity usage.
