Didier Drogba throws support behind Nicolas Jackson

Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has thrown his support behind Nicolas Jackson as the striker continues to settle in his first season in England.

Jackson, who joined Chelsea this summer, has 13 goals in all competitions but has faced criticisms from fans for not being clinical enough.

Recently, the 22-year-old striker missed crucial chances in Chelsea’s semi-final defeat to Manchester City in the FA Cup.

Chelsea released a statement on social media saying they are “disgusted by the racial abuse directed towards Nicolas Jackson” after the game.

Drogba provided some words of encouragement for the Senegalese striker on social media stating: “Keep your head High UP and never stop working hard, it will pay off”
