I’ve petitioned TGMA for inclusion in EP and Afrobeats artiste of the year categories – Olive The Boy | 3News

Afrobeats singer and songwriter, Olive The Boy has raised concerns about his nominations for the upcoming

The ‘Goodsin’ hitmaker has received three nominations for this year’s TGMA.

They include; Best new artiste of the year, Most popular song of the year and best Afrobeats song of the year.

However, in an interview on TV3, the musician said he’s convinced he should have been nominated for two other categories.

He disclosed that his management has presented a petition to the scheme to be considered for the Album/EP of the year and Best Afrobeats artiste of the year categories.

“I think there are these two that I feel like I should have been in.

The EP/Album of the year because Goodsin was an EP and Afrobeats artiste of the year.

Reach out to us and let’s make the necessary corrections and clarifications,” he said in an interview on Hitz FM, April 2.

Other artiste like Amerado has also appealed to organisers of the award.

Amerado is seeking clarification as to why his famous ‘Kweku Ananse’ song did not merit nomination for the most popular song of the year category.
