Antoine Semenyo strikes to power Bournemouth to first league victory

Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo played a pivotal role in AFC Bournemouth’s hard-fought victory over Burnley during matchday 10 of the English Premier League on a Saturday afternoon.

Semenyo, who started the match, lasted for 69 minutes but made his presence felt, contributing to AFC Bournemouth’s 2-1 win against Burnley at the Vitality Stadium with a great finish.

The match opened with Charlie Taylor giving Burnley an early lead, finding the net just 11 minutes into the game.

However, Antoine Semenyo responded with a superb solo effort, equalising for AFC Bournemouth in the 22nd minute.

Philip Billing sealed the victory for AFC Bournemouth with a crucial second goal in the 76th minute, securing all three points for the Cherries.

While this became the Cherries’ first league win of the season, it marked Antoine Semenyo’s second goal of the season and his consistent performances are becoming increasingly vital.

As Ghana prepares for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, Semenyo’s contributions on the pitch are expected to play a significant role in the national team’s campaign.
