My career began in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church - Kelvyn Boy reflects on his journey in the music industry

Ghanaian Afrobeat singer, has shared how he entered the music industry and how his journey has had an impact on him.

In an interview with Nana Ama McBrown on Onua Showtime, the musician who hails from Assin Fosu shed light on how he established his career in music indicating it all began in the Seventh-day Adventists church.

According to him, he doesn’t remember learning how to sing, it was something that was innate.

“Honestly, for me, my father used to sing in the church.

I come from the SDA church.

Going back in time, I can’t pinpoint a particular period in my life where I’ll say I went into the learning of music.

It just entered me,” he explained.

Kelvyn Brown, popularly known as Kelvyn Boy further stated that he was given the platform to minister in church and it started from there.

“There was a day I was put on a program and I sang so well.

Ever since then, every Saturday when we come for Sabbath if I am not given the chance to sing, I’ll cry,” he added.

The award-winning artiste also highlighted some of the flaws in the SDA church he had noticed.

“The training and the things we do as SDAs tame a lot of talents.
