Ahafo: NPP Polling Station Chairman's 'suicide' sparks suspicion

The death of a Polling Station Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Tano North Constituency in the Ahafo Region has sparked rumours of foul play among concerned residents.

Alex Gyabaah was found hanged on a rope in his carpentry shop in Duayaw-Nkwanta on Saturday, June 3.

Some friends and relations suspect foul play, blaming opponents for the death.

Police have since begun investigations into the incident

His body has since been deposited at the St John of God Catholic Hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy.
