Black Sherif, Amerado, Sarkodie, Medikal et al to battle for Best Hip Hop Song @ 24th VGMAs

It will be a battle between a veteran and a new kid on the block as Sarkodie and Black Sherif have been nominated for this year’s (VGMAs) in the category of Best Hip Hop Song of the Year.

Between these two greats of different era in that category will be the likes of Amerado, Medikal, Kwesi Arthur and Malcolm Nuna, who will seek to pull the surprise.

The nominees list for the Best Hip Hop Song was released on Saturday, March 18.

Black Sherif’s Kweku The Traveller, released in 2022, is among works that propelled the young rapper to the music scene.

Tipped to win the category, Black Sherif’s song will face stiff competition from Sarkodie’s Country Side, Amerado’s Obiaa Boa, Kwesi Arthur’s Drama, Medikal’s Scarface and Malcolm Nuna’s Benzo.

The 24th VGMAs will be held on Saturday, May 13 at the Grand Arena of the (AICC).
