Govt denies recruiting mercenaries for 2024 elections | 3News.com

The Minister of Defense, Dominic Nitiwul has denied claims by former Deputy Interior Minister James Agalga that mercenaries are being recruited for elections 2024 by the government.

But also reacting to him at a press conference hon Wednesday , Mr Nitiwul who is also lawmaker for Bimbila explained that “To be an officer in the Armed Forces, there are six stages that you need to go through, and none of these six stages can and will ever be compromised.”

He added “After you buy the form, you will then go for body selection, after you have been selected they ensure that you are fully fit.”

“In fact, there are too many things that the medical people are looking out for

If you pass through this medical then it does not still guarantee that you will be an officer of the Armed Forces.

“You will go and write an entrance exams conducted by the University of Ghana.”
