A Deputy Sports Minister, Evans Bobie Opoku, has urged Ghanaians not to politicise the 2023 African Games.
“We turn to make everything politics and I don’t think it will help.”
Ghana will host the 2023 African Games, which will attract about 54 countries.
The Member of Parliament for Asunafo North Constituency is of the view that Ghanaians who will have the opportunity to be volunteers during the 2023 Games should give off their best and ensure that the event becomes a success.
“Security is very important in organising such games and Ghana as a country will be up to the task.
The Deputy Sports Minister added that through the proper organisation of the Games in Ghana, investors can also invest and that will improve the socio-economic development of the country.
He assured that Ghana will be ready to host a world class showpiece at the upcoming Africa Games.
