Election petition to be live on television – Supreme Court orders

The Supreme Court of Ghana has granted a request by former President John Dramani Mahama that the election petition should be carried live on television.

The apex court granted the request on Thursday January 14.

asking the Supreme Court to broadcast live proceedings of the election petition he brought before the court.

The court has set today, Thursday, January 14, to commence the hearing of the petition in which the petitioner John Mahama is seeking among other things the annulment of the declaration of the 2020 presidential election results which pronounced the 2nd Respondent Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo winner.
