LPG Parliament Candidate criticises party over support for women

Parliamentary Candidate for the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG) for the Ayawaso Central Constituency Gifty Hammond has lamented the lack of support from the party to women within the rank and file.

According to her, the LPG promised a lot of support for them but with what they received, it is not enough.

“My major challenge is the support women in politics receive, we do not get much attention, much support and the backup we need to achieve,” she said on the Women’s Take hosted by Natalie Fort on 3FM.

“We were promised support and we got posters and flyers and that is all we got. Liberal Party [of Ghana] gave a lot of women opportunity but they do not support them.
