First Lady Honoured As Role ModeI For Critical Logistics By WILAT-Ghana
The Women in Logistics and Transport - Ghana ( WILAT-Ghana ) which is the Women's wing of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport - Ghana ( CILT- Ghana) has honoured the First Lady Mrs Rebecca Akufo- Addo as the Role Model for Critical Logistics .

WILAT - Ghana explained critical logistics as rendering service to save lives and cited the establishment of the state - of- the art Mother and Baby unit at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi by Mrs Rebecca Akuffo Addo and her foundation (Rebecca Foundation) as a major example, in a citation for the first lady in Accra when CILT - Ghana visited the First Lady at her office.

WILAT- Ghana also commended the First Lady for her role in enhancing literacy and learning skills in children as well as improving environmental health and sanitation by greening public places.

WILAT-Ghana also presented mothers and children's sanitary items and exercise books to the Rebecca Foundation for distribution to disadvantaged mothers and children.

Mrs Dr Doreen Owusu- Fianku Chairperson of WILAT- Ghana said CILT- Ghana through WILAT- Ghana will collaborate with the Rebecca Foundation in its noble course especially in critical logistics aimed at empowering women and supporting babies as well as women in Logistics and Transport in general.

The President of CILT- Ghana Mr Ebow Hammond said CILT- Ghana is concerned about the low representation of women in the Logistics and Transport sector and encouraged more young women to develop interest in the sector .
